(Image): Star arrives for medicals as Chelsea look set to trade left winger

Chelsea left winger Kenedy has arrived on Tyneside for medicals at Newcastle United after agreeing to a six month loan deal.

The Brazilian has been a fringe player for the Blues with Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso filling in attacking and defensive positions on the left side of attack under Antonio Conte.

Having featured sporadically at left wing back in domestic cup games, he will relish the move to join Rafa Benitez’s side, after a summer move for him broke down.

It seems that his move will precipitate Chelsea’s bid for Emerson Palmieri of Roma, who is set to arrive in the coming days to replace the former Fluminense man as Alonso’s backup.
