LEWANDOWSKI’S AGENT HOLDS TALKS WITH CHELSEA

The agent of Manchester United and Real Madrid target Robert Lewandowski has held talks with Chelsea over a possible summer move.

Reports in Spain from Mundo Deportivo say preliminary talks between both Premier League sides, as well as Madrid, have taken place, with the La Liga side agreeing a deal in principle for the forward.

The striker is widely expected to leave Bayern Munich this summer, with a decision to change his agent sparking talk of a move elsewhere.

Madrid have long been linked with a move for Lewandowski as they seek a replacement for the ageing Karim Benzema.

Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest in the player should he become available, but it is believed that the Polish international would prefer a move to Madrid.

Lewandowski would been seen as a world-class replacement, ready to step into the first team with Champions League experience under his belt.

The deal could yet depend on the future of Zinedine Zidane, who may have to win another Champions League title to keep his job in Madrid.
